Who it suits: Buyers who want a small, upright SUV-style car for city use at hatchback money.
The Exter shares its engine, fuel tank and wheelbase with the Grand i10 Nios but has a taller, SUV-styled body. It is offered in two versions: the EX at an indicative ex-showroom price of Rs 36,96,000 and the HX2 at Rs 37,96,000 (official site, October 2026). Both cost less than the Nios in Magna or Sportz form, which makes the Exter worth a look for anyone shopping that hatchback.
Under the bonnet is a 1,197 cc petrol engine making 61 kW and 113.8 Nm, fed from a 37-litre tank. The body measures 3,815 mm long, 1,710 mm wide and 1,631 mm tall on a 2,450 mm wheelbase, so it is barely longer than the hatchback but noticeably taller. Brakes are disc at the front and drum at the rear.
Hyundai Nepal's spec page lists both a five-speed manual and an AMT but does not say which variant gets which, so confirm the gearbox before you book. Ground clearance, fuel economy and safety equipment are not published either, which makes it hard to judge how much of the SUV look translates into rough-road ability. Colours include Khaki, Cosmic Blue and Starry Night alongside the usual white, grey and red.
Indicative only. Banks add service charges and may price your loan differently.
