Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: specs, India price, and will this electric bike come to Nepal?

The Flying Flea C6 is Royal Enfield's first electric motorcycle, sold under a new brand of its own. It is a light, neo-vintage city bike: 124 kg, a 3.91 kWh battery, a claimed 154 km range on India's IDC test, 0–60 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 115 km/h. In India it costs ₹2,79,000 ex-showroom, or ₹1,99,000 if you rent the battery instead of buying it. It is not on sale in Nepal and no Nepal launch has been announced.

What is the Flying Flea?

The name comes from a small, light Royal Enfield motorcycle of the Second World War that could be dropped by parachute with airborne troops. Royal Enfield has revived the name as a separate brand for electric "city+" motorcycles, and the parachute is its logo. The C6 is the first model. Flying Flea also lists a second model, the FF.S6, a scrambler-style version that has not reached India yet.

The bike looks nothing like a typical electric motorcycle. It has a girder front fork (a linkage design from the 1940s, rebuilt with a modern hydraulic shock), a finned magnesium battery case that looks like an engine, a forged aluminium frame, a single seat and a round "true-round" TFT display. Flying Flea says the design won a Red Dot Design Award.

Battery, motor and range

The battery holds 3.91 kWh at about 102 V. It is made of 224 laser-welded nickel-cobalt-aluminium (NCA) cells in an air-cooled magnesium case. The motor is a permanent magnet synchronous motor making 15.4 kW (about 21 PS) and 60 Nm, driving the rear wheel through a two-stage belt, so there is no chain to oil.

The 154 km figure is from India's IDC test, which uses gentle city speeds. Real range will be lower, especially on hills or at highway speeds, as with any electric vehicle.

Charging: no separate charger to carry

The charger is built into the bike. You plug a cable into any ordinary 16 A socket, and Flying Flea says it charges at roughly 1% a minute: 20–80% in 65 minutes and 0–100% in 2 hours 16 minutes at 25°C. In Nepal, 16 A sockets are the heavy-duty ones used for geysers and air conditioners, so most homes and offices would have one.

Features and electronics

For a bike this size, the C6 is well equipped:

  • Lean-angle sensing ABS (dual channel, with three sensitivity settings and a switchable rear) and lean-angle sensing traction control.
  • Five ride modes plus a custom mode, cruise control, a two-way crawl mode for parking, and auto-hold on slopes.
  • A 3.5-inch round colour TFT with a capacitive touch cluster, connected to the Flying Flea app.
  • Google Maps navigation that uses live battery data and suggests charging stops.
  • Wireless phone charging (15 W) and a 27 W USB-C port in a storage box.
  • Theft control, geofencing and SOS, with a "share my status" button and a tip-over alert. There is an incognito mode if you don't want your data shared.
  • An electronic handlebar lock.

Price and where you can buy it

In India the C6 costs ₹2,79,000 ex-showroom. With Battery-as-a-Service the upfront price drops to ₹1,99,000, and you pay for the battery separately. Flying Flea's site shows an on-road example of ₹2,94,241 in Karnataka.

Sales are city by city. Eicher Motors, Royal Enfield's parent company, said deliveries started in Bengaluru on 19 June 2026, with a hub-and-spoke service network and Flying Flea corners inside some Royal Enfield showrooms. In October 2026 the brand opened in Hyderabad, its second Indian city, with a company store and three other outlets, as Telangana Today reported. The C6 comes in Storm Black, Flea Green and Parachute White. Flying Flea also has stores in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Rome and London.

Will the Flying Flea C6 come to Nepal?

There is no announcement. Royal Enfield bikes are sold in Nepal through Alpha Automotive, which has not said anything about Flying Flea. Because the brand is still opening one Indian city at a time, a Nepal launch does not look close. If it does come, Nepal's lower taxes on electric two-wheelers could make it more competitive than Royal Enfield's petrol bikes are here, but there is no price to quote yet.

How it compares with electric motorcycles on sale in Nepal

Here is how the C6's official figures line up with electric motorcycles that are on sale in Nepal now. Nepal prices are indicative ex-showroom; the C6 figure is the India price, not a Nepal price.

Motorcycle Price Battery Claimed range Power Top speed Weight
Flying Flea C6 ₹2.79 lakh (India) 3.91 kWh 154 km (IDC) 15.4 kW 115 km/h 124 kg
Revolt RV400 Rs 4.49 lakh 3.24 kWh 150 km 4.1 kW 85 km/h 115 kg
Super Soco TC Max Rs 4.90 lakh 3.24 kWh 110 km 5.1 kW 90 km/h —
Yadea Keeness Rs 6.60 lakh 4.61 kWh 129 km 11 kW 100 km/h —
NIU RQi Rs 9.99 lakh 5.18 kWh 141 km 7.5 kW 100 km/h 186 kg

On paper the C6 is lighter and much more powerful than the commuter electric bikes sold in Nepal, and it is the only one with lean-angle ABS, traction control and a girder fork. Its 19-inch wheels and 207 mm ground clearance also suit Nepal's rough streets better than most.

Who is it for?

The C6 is a city motorcycle for people who care about design: daily commutes, short trips around town, cafés and weekend rides on good roads. It is not a touring bike: 154 km of claimed range (less in real riding) and a single seat limit long trips. If you ride Kathmandu–Pokhara regularly, a petrol Royal Enfield or a bigger-battery EV makes more sense.
