The MGS5 EV is a compact electric SUV offered in three versions: Comfort 49 kWh at Rs 43,99,000, Luxury 49 kWh at Rs 50,99,000 and Luxury 62 kWh at Rs 55,99,000 (indicative ex-showroom introductory prices, official site, October 2026). The two 49.1 kWh trims share a claimed 340 km WLTP range, while the 62.2 kWh pack stretches that to 430 km.

Every version uses the same 99 kW, 250 Nm rear-drive setup with a 175 km/h top speed, five seats, a 453-litre boot and 7 kW AC charging. DC charging differs: around 120 kW on the 49 kWh cars, with 10 to 80 percent in a claimed 24 minutes, and around 150 kW on the 62 kWh car, taking 26 minutes. Ground clearance is listed as 175 mm on the Comfort and 180 mm on the Luxury, both marked with an asterisk on the site, which is acceptable for city roads but worth respecting on rough tracks.

The Rs 7 lakh step from Comfort to Luxury 49 kWh does not change the battery or motor, and the equipment tables could not be read, so it is unclear exactly what it adds. The site lists a rear camera only for the Comfort. Warranty terms match the MG4: one year for the vehicle, 8 years or 150,000 km for the battery.
