Who it suits: Buyers with a larger budget who want a roomy electric car with home charging and mostly paved driving.
At an indicative ex-showroom price of Rs 1,03,96,000 (official site, October 2026), the IONIQ 5 is Hyundai's most expensive EV with a published price. Nepal gets a single version, the GLS Vision Roof, built around a 58 kWh battery and a single 125 kW motor with 350 Nm, driving two wheels.
The standout number is the 3,000 mm wheelbase, longer than the Palisade's, on a body only 4,635 mm long. That usually means generous cabin space for the footprint. The boot holds 537 litres with the rear seats up, and the car weighs 1,830 kg. Hyundai claims 375 km of range but does not name the test cycle, so treat it as a brand figure; hill driving will cut it.
Ground clearance is 160 mm, which is lower than most SUVs and calls for care over speed breakers and broken roads. The official page gives no width and no charging figures at all, an odd gap for an EV at this price. Tyres are 19-inch, with ventilated front discs. Compared with the Creta Electric, you pay over Rs 40 lakh more for a bigger battery and more space; whether that is worth it depends on how much you value the cabin.
Indicative only. Banks add service charges and may price your loan differently.
