The Dolphin is a five-seat electric hatchback that comes in one version, priced at an indicative Rs 41,15,000 ex-showroom (official site, October 2026). That places it between the ATTO 1 and ATTO 2 in BYD's Nepal pricing.

Its 44.9 kWh battery has a claimed WLTP range of 340 km, close to what the dearer ATTO 2 Premium offers. The motor makes 70 kW and 180 Nm, noticeably more than the ATTO 1. The spec sheet is unusually clear on charging: up to 7 kW on AC, and up to 60 kW on DC, where a 20-80% top-up is quoted at 42 minutes. A 7 kW home charger should comfortably refill it overnight.

Underneath it uses MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear, with ventilated discs in front and discs behind. The battery and vehicle warranty is 8 years or 1,60,000 km, with terms applying. What the site doesn't give is ground clearance, screen size or a usable colour list, so check those in person, particularly if you live off a rough road.
