Engine and performance
| Yamaha FZ FI (V3 / 2026) | Yamaha FZ-S FI New Gen | Bajaj Pulsar 150 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engine | 149 cc | 149 cc | 149.5 cc |

| Fuel tank | 13 litres | 13 litres | 15 litres |
The Pulsar lists about 13% more power than the newer FZ engines (10.3 ÷ 9.1 = 1.13), while torque is almost the same (13.4 against 13.3 Nm). The older FZ V2 lists 9.7 kW and 12.8 Nm. The Pulsar's 15-litre tank holds 2 litres more than the newer FZ's 13 litres (15 − 13), about 15% more, which matters on long rides. We found no claimed mileage on either distributor's page, so we do not quote one. For a guide to the figures that are published, see best mileage bikes in Nepal.

The Pulsar is the heavier bike by 7 kg (144 − 137, TD against New Gen) to 13 kg (148 − 135, SD against FZ V3 Standard). Ground clearance is 165 mm on all four. Only the Yamaha pages list a seat height, 790 mm; if you are short or tall, sit on both before you buy. The Pulsar SD has a rear drum brake, while the Pulsar TD and all FZ variants except the FZ FI V2 list a rear disc. For a first bike, ABS can matter more than any power figure, so read our guide to ABS and other terms and ask for it in writing for your exact variant.
