The best bike under Rs 3 lakh in Nepal on our scoring is the Hero Splendor+ (Rs 2,17,900), followed by the Hero Super Splendor (from Rs 2,55,900). For every motorcycle on sale, from the cheapest commuter to 1,000 cc tourers, see our full bike price in Nepal list.
People search "best bike under 3 lakh in Nepal" in many forms: by brand (Honda, Bajaj, Yamaha), for college students, even for Royal Enfield. This guide answers from official Nepal prices. Every bike below starts under Rs 3,00,000 on the distributor's site, checked in October 2026. Prices are indicative ex-showroom prices. Registration, road tax and insurance come on top. We have not ridden these bikes, so we say nothing about how they ride.
This list covers motorcycles only. For bikes from Rs 3 to 4 lakh, see best bikes under Rs 4 lakh. For scooters, see our best scooters under Rs 3 lakh.
How we ranked them
Each bike is scored out of 100 on its cheapest version under Rs 3 lakh:
| Criterion | Points | How it is scored |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 30 | Cheapest bike gets 30, dearest gets 0, the rest in proportion |
| Popularity | 40 | Our popularity score (0–100, from reported sales and news coverage in Nepal) × 0.4 |
| Warranty | 15 | 15 if the Nepal site publishes a warranty |
| Front disc brake | 15 | 15 if the version under Rs 3 lakh has a confirmed front disc brake |
Mileage is not scored because only one bike here, the Xtreme 125R, publishes an official figure in Nepal. We left out the TVS XL100 (Rs 1,57,900), a moped whose Nepal page shows no specifications.

Places 3 to 9 are separated by five points, so read them as a group of close alternatives, not a strict order. The Revolt RV1's price is not on the Revolt Nepal site (it shows "price on request"); the figure here is the indicative price on our model page.
Why each pick is there
Hero Splendor+ (Rs 2,17,900). The cheapest full-size motorcycle in the list, with a published 5-year or 70,000 km warranty on Hero's Nepal warranty page. It is a 97.2 cc, four-speed commuter with drum brakes at both ends, an 11-litre tank and 112.3 kg kerb weight (electric-start version). Business 360 reported that Hero began assembling the Splendor+ and Super Splendor at CG's plant in Nawalparasi in April 2024. Hero does not publish a mileage figure for it in Nepal.
Hero Super Splendor (Rs 2,55,900; Xtec Rs 2,70,900). The same recipe with a 124.7 cc engine, a 13-litre tank and the same 5-year warranty. It is the pick if you want 125 cc and a published warranty for under Rs 2.6 lakh.
Honda Shine 125 (DRS Rs 2,99,900; DSS Rs 3,09,900). It ranks only fourth because Honda publishes no warranty on the model page and lists the brakes for both versions together. But it has the highest popularity score of any bike in the list: Honda Nepal calls the Shine and SP 125 its best-selling 125 cc models. Only the DRS version is under Rs 3 lakh. Power is 7.9 kW with a five-speed gearbox.
TVS Raider 125 (FI Drum Rs 2,79,900). The most powerful bike in the list at 9.49 kW, with five gears and a monoshock rear. It went on sale in Nepal in 2022, ShareSansar reported. The FI Disc version (Rs 3,05,900) and the iGO (Rs 3,15,900) are over budget.
Benelli TNT15 and Yamaha Saluto 125 are the only two with a confirmed front disc under Rs 3 lakh. The TNT15 also has the biggest engine here (148 cc) and a 16-litre tank. Benelli's Nepal page labels the main photo "Before 2020", so confirm that new stock is available before you visit.
Hero Xtreme 125R (Rs 2,98,900) claims 66 km/l on the WMTC test, the best published mileage of any motorcycle in Nepal. See our highest-mileage bikes guide.
Running cost: an example
For example, with claimed figures and our own arithmetic, riding 1,000 km a month:
- Hero Xtreme 125R at 66 km/l and Rs 200 a litre (Nepal Oil Corporation, Kathmandu): about Rs 3.03 per km, or Rs 3,030 a month.
- Revolt RV1: 2.2 kWh for a claimed 100 km (IDC test) is 2.2 kWh per 100 km. At Rs 11.55 a unit (NEA's top household rate plus 5% VAT), that is about Rs 0.25 per km, or Rs 254 a month.
Real-world use is higher for both, especially the electric range figure. Compare petrol and electric properly in our petrol vs electric two-wheeler guide.
Practical numbers: weight, seat height and tyres
Price and engine size are only part of the story. For a shorter rider, a new rider or rough roads, these published figures matter as much:
| Bike | Kerb weight | Seat height | Ground clearance | Tyres |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hero Splendor+ | 112.3 kg | Not published | 159 mm | 80/100-18 |
| Honda Shine 125 | 113 kg | Not published | 162 mm | 80/100-18, tubeless |
| Yamaha Saluto 125 | 114 kg | 805 mm | 180 mm | 80/100-18, tubeless |
| TVS Radeon | 116 kg | Not published | 180 mm | 18-inch, tubeless |
| Bajaj Platina 100 | 117 kg | Not published | 200 mm | 17-inch, tube type |
| TVS Raider 125 | 120 kg | Not published | 181 mm | 17-inch, tubeless |
| Hero Super Splendor | 123 kg | 785 mm | 160 mm | 80/100-18 |
| Hero Xtreme 125R | 136 kg | 794 mm | 180 mm | 17-inch, tubeless |
All figures are from the official Nepal pages. A few things stand out. The Platina 100 has the most ground clearance in the group, 200 mm, useful on broken roads, but it is the only one listed with tube-type tyres. Tubeless tyres usually lose air slowly after a puncture instead of going flat at once, which helps on long rides. The Xtreme 125R is the heaviest of the commuters at 136 kg. We left out the Benelli TNT15, because its listed kerb weight (171 kg) equals its stated maximum load, which looks like an error on the page.
If you are short or a first-time rider, sit on the bike at the showroom with both feet down before choosing. A published seat height is a guide; how it feels depends on seat width and suspension too.
What about 150 cc, Pulsar, Apache or Royal Enfield?
Some lists online put 150–160 cc bikes under Rs 3 lakh. On official Nepal prices in October 2026, none is:
