Bajaj's newer-generation 125 has an indicative ex-showroom price of Rs 3,26,900 (official site, October 2026), Rs 12,000 more than the older Pulsar 125. What the extra money buys shows up in the spec sheet rather than the engine: the 124.59 cc unit makes 8.83 kW and 11 Nm, only marginally more than the Pulsar 125.

The chassis is where it differs. It is shorter at 1963 mm, sits 187 mm off the ground, and uses a rear monoshock rather than twin shocks, with 125 mm of stroke front and rear. Braking is a 240 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum linked by a combined braking system (CBS). The rear tyre is a wider 110/80-17 tubeless, and the seat height is listed at 795 mm.

The obvious compromise is fuel capacity. The tank holds 9.1 litres in total, of which 1.5 litres is reserve, leaving 7.6 litres before you are into reserve, far less than the 15 litres on the Pulsar 125. Kerb weight and start type are not published. Three colours are offered: Citrus Rush, Cocktail Wine Red and Purple Fury.

What to consider

  • Small 9.1-litre tank, only 7.6 litres before reserve
  • Kerb weight not published
  • Little extra power over the cheaper Pulsar 125
