What do the numbers say about size and mileage?

Power 49 kW 49.3 kW 50 kW (1.0) 61 kW 60 kW
Claimed mileage Not listed 26.68 km/l 21.79 km/l (1.0) Not listed 25.75 km/l

Fuel tank 27 litres 32 litres 32 litres 37 litres Not listed
Length 3,530 mm 3,695 mm 3,655 mm 3,805 mm 3,860 mm

The Alto K10 is the smallest car here, 165 mm shorter than the Celerio (3,695 − 3,530) and with 99 litres less boot (313 − 214). The Wagon R has the most boot space of the Suzukis at 341 litres, and its taller body (1,675 mm against 1,555 mm for the Celerio) is listed on the distributor page. The two Hyundai models and the Swift use a 1.2-litre engine with about 60 kW, roughly 11 kW more than the 998 cc Suzukis (60 − 49).

Mileage figures are claimed numbers published by the distributor, not what you will see in Kathmandu traffic or on hill roads. Treat them as a way to compare, not as a promise.

What does fuel cost?

Nepal Oil Corporation kept petrol at Rs 200 a litre in Kathmandu in October 2026. For 1,000 km at the claimed mileage:

Car Claimed km/l Litres for 1,000 km Fuel cost
Suzuki Celerio 26.68 37.5 about Rs 7,496
Suzuki Swift 25.75 38.8 about Rs 7,767
Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 21.79 45.9 about Rs 9,179

The arithmetic is 1,000 ÷ mileage × Rs 200. Real-world mileage is usually lower, so use these only to compare cars with each other. Fuel is volatile: it was Rs 219 earlier in 2026, as we explain in petrol price in Nepal today.

How much would a loan cover?

Nepal Rastra Bank caps private vehicle loans at 60% of the vehicle value. On the Alto K10 STD at Rs 28,24,000 that is up to Rs 16,94,400 (28,24,000 × 0.6), leaving Rs 11,29,600 to pay yourself. On the Celerio Lxi at Rs 31,99,000 it is up to Rs 19,19,400, leaving Rs 12,79,600. Prices here are ex-showroom, so taxes, registration and insurance come on top: ask the dealer for the full figure in writing. Try the EMI calculator and read our auto loan guide.
