The Hilux pickup is offered with a 2.8-litre diesel in manual and automatic form, at indicative ex-showroom prices from Rs 1,49,00,000 and Rs 1,51,00,000 (official site, October 2026). With only Rs 2 lakh between them, the automatic looks like the better buy for most, particularly since it brings 500 Nm of torque against the manual's 420 Nm.

Both produce 151.38 kW from 2,755 cc, use a six-speed gearbox and have four-wheel drive. Toyota claims 9 to 13 km/L, with no test standard named. The tank holds 80 litres.

The headline number for Nepal is ground clearance: 310 mm, the highest of any Toyota on the site. Combined with 4WD, a leaf-sprung rigid rear axle and 17-inch tyres, it is well suited to bad roads and carrying loads. The deck measures 1,555 by 1,540 by 480 mm. Inside there are five seats, three airbags and stability control, but cruise control is not listed and the rear brakes are drums.
