The most useful pairs in the table:

  • Entry level: Brezza Lxi and Venue HX2 differ by Rs 3,000 (48.99 − 48.96 = 0.03 lakh).
  • Turbo engines: Brezza Zxi Turbo is Rs 58.49 lakh; the Venue HX5 1.0T is Rs 58.96 lakh, Rs 47,000 more, but it comes with an automatic gearbox and the Brezza turbo is listed as a manual.

Engines and gearboxes

Suzuki Brezza Hyundai Venue
Petrol engine 1,462 cc 1,197 cc
Turbo-petrol engine 998 cc 998 cc
Power (naturally aspirated) 75.8 kW 61 kW
Power (turbo) 81 kW 88.3 kW
Torque (turbo) Not matched to an engine on Suzuki's page 172 Nm
Gearboxes 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic 5-speed manual and 7-speed DCT

On paper the Brezza's 1.5 petrol makes about 24% more power than the Venue's 1.2 (75.8 ÷ 61 = 1.24). Among the turbos the Venue is ahead, with about 9% more power (88.3 ÷ 81 = 1.09). Suzuki's page lists two torque numbers without saying which engine each belongs to, and it lists the two powers in the same order as the two engines, so we pair them that way. Ask the showroom to confirm the figures for the exact variant.

We found no claimed fuel economy on either distributor's page, so we do not quote one. Ask for it in writing and use our petrol car running cost guide to turn it into a monthly bill.

Size and equipment

Suzuki Brezza Hyundai Venue
Length 3,995 mm 3,995 mm
Width Not listed 1,770 mm
Height Not listed 1,617 mm
Wheelbase Not listed 2,500 mm
Fuel tank 48 litres 45 litres
Front / rear brakes Ventilated disc / drum Disc / drum (1.2 variants)
Front suspension MacPherson strut McPherson strut
Rear suspension Torsion beam Torsion beam

The two cars are the same length, and the Brezza carries 3 litres more fuel (48 − 45), about 7% more. Suzuki's page lists only length among the dimensions, so we cannot compare width, height or wheelbase. We also could not confirm airbags, ground clearance or boot space for either car from the pages we use. Ask each showroom for the safety and feature list of the exact variant.
