The KTM RC 200 costs Rs 6,94,900, which is Rs 55,000 more than the Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 6,39,900) and Rs 15,000 more than the top R15 M (Rs 6,79,900). For that money the distributors list the KTM with more power (18.4 kW against 13.5 kW), more torque, bigger brakes and a bigger fuel tank, while the R15 is lighter by 18 kg and has a lower seat. The RC 200 is Rs 1,25,000 above the cheapest R15, the R15 S (6,94,900 − 5,69,900). The bigger RC 390 is Rs 2,50,000 above the RC 200 (9,44,900 − 6,94,900). Prices change, so confirm at the showroom.

The RC 200 lists about 36% more power (18.4 ÷ 13.5 = 1.36) and about 35% more torque (19.2 ÷ 14.2 = 1.35), from a larger engine. It also weighs 18 kg more (160 − 142), so on paper the extra power is partly carried by extra weight. The R15's seat is 20 mm lower (835 − 815), and its ground clearance is 14 mm higher (170 − 156). Nepal Rastra Bank limits private vehicle loans to 60% of the vehicle value, and we found no separate limit for motorcycles. On an R15 V4 at Rs 6,39,900 that is up to Rs 3,83,940 (6,39,900 × 0.6), leaving Rs 2,55,960 to pay yourself. On the RC 200 at Rs 6,94,900 it is up to Rs 4,16,940, leaving Rs 2,77,960.
