Volkswagen's Virtus is the sedan alternative to the Taigun, and in Nepal it comes in just three versions. The Comfortline 1.0 TSI MT starts at Rs 54,90,000, the same as the entry Taigun, while the GT Plus 1.5 TSI costs Rs 84,00,000 as a manual and Rs 89,00,000 with the 7-speed DSG (indicative ex-showroom offer prices, official site, October 2026).

There is nothing in between, so the jump from the entry car to the GT Plus is Rs 29.1 lakh. For that money the GT Plus brings the larger 1.5 TSI EVO engine, a 10.1-inch screen instead of the 7-inch one, cruise control and an electric sunroof. All three versions list front, front-side and curtain airbags plus ESC, and the distributor's page claims a 5-star Global NCAP rating.

The Virtus page gives no power or torque figures, no dimensions, boot space or mileage, and the colour section does not name its colours. Ground clearance is not stated either, and that is worth confirming for a sedan that will see Nepal's rougher roads.

What to consider

  • No middle version between Comfortline and GT Plus
  • No power, torque, dimensions or ground clearance published
  • Automatic only available on the most expensive version
