Who it suits: City riders who want a Vespa with electric start and a low seat, and who do most of their riding on paved roads.
The Vespa 125 sits in the middle of Vespa's three-scooter range in Nepal, with an indicative ex-showroom price of Rs 4,04,000 (official site, October 2026). It uses a 124.45 cc single-cylinder engine rated at 7.0 kW and 10.11 Nm, and the brand lists it as meeting BS VI OBD II Stage B emission rules. Starting is electric only.
The chassis follows the pattern shared across the lineup: a single-sided front arm with hydraulic anti-dive damping, a rear shock with four-position adjustment, and a 200 mm front disc working with a 140 mm rear drum through a combined braking system (CBS). Tubeless tyres sit on an 11-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel. Seat height is a manageable 770 mm and the tank holds 7.4 litres. A 1,290 mm wheelbase and small wheels make it easy to thread through Kathmandu traffic, though wheels this small tend to feel broken tarmac and potholes more than larger ones.
Compared with the cheaper ZX 125, the extra Rs 50,000 brings a wider 110/70-11 front tyre and the Stage B emissions listing, but drops the kick starter. Kerb weight, ground clearance and fuel economy are not on the spec sheet, and no colour names are published, so those are questions for the dealer.
Indicative only. Banks add service charges and may price your loan differently.
