The RQi is NIU's only electric motorcycle in Nepal and by far its most expensive model, starting at an indicative Rs 9,99,000 ex-showroom (official site, October 2026). It is a different proposition from the brand's scooters: the motor peaks at 7.5 kW (5 kW rated), NIU quotes 450 Nm at the wheel, and listed top speed is 100 km/h.
Claimed range is 141 km. Charging is listed as 4 hours with a single battery and 7 hours with two, and the page does not say which setup the claimed range refers to. Brakes are a 300 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc. The site mentions both a CBS version and an ABS with traction control version, but shows only one price, so check which one that price buys. At 186 kg it is a heavy machine, and the 167 mm ground clearance is fine for city roads but not for serious off-road use. It measures 2,080 mm long, 835 mm wide and 1,084 mm tall.
Colours are Blue, Red, Silver and Green. At nearly Rs 10 lakh, buyers will want a clear answer on which braking package and battery configuration they are paying for.
