Read the full overview

The HJ 250 is a carburettor-fed dirt bike and the Crossfire model with the most choice in Nepal. Three versions are listed, with indicative ex-showroom prices of Rs 6,99,000 for the Standard, Rs 7,09,000 for the Supermoto Limited Edition and Rs 7,19,000 for the CNC Enhanced Edition (official site, October 2026).

All three share the same published figures: a 249.6 cc single-cylinder engine making 19 kW and 22.5 Nm through a six-speed gearbox, electric and kick start, a 270 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc, and adjustable suspension with 300 mm of travel at the front and 120 mm at the rear. Ground clearance is a very generous 350 mm, which is what you want for rutted trails, river crossings and landslide-damaged roads. The flip side is a 950 mm seat height, which will be a stretch for shorter riders in stop-start traffic. The tank holds only 6 litres; with the claimed 25 km/l that works out to roughly 150 km between fills on paper.

The site does not explain what the CNC Enhanced or Supermoto Limited editions add, and it lists both dirt and motard wheel sets, so confirm which tyres come with the bike you are buying. ABS is not mentioned, and only a dry weight is quoted.

What to consider

  • 950 mm seat height is tall for many riders
  • Small 6-litre tank
  • Differences between the three editions are not described
  • No ABS listed; prices may be dated
