Electric scooters under Rs 2 lakh in Nepal? The cheapest e-scooters for 2026, compared
Wheels of Nepal · Last updated: · 9 min read
The only electric scooter under Rs 2 lakh from an official Nepal distributor right now is the Yadea E8s Pro at Rs 1,99,000, and that is an offer price (Yadea lists Rs 2,30,000 as the regular price). Next come three scooters at Rs 2,35,000, the Yadea GS70, Yadea Owin and NIU FX Citi, with nine models in all at or below Rs 2.6 lakh.
People in Nepal search for electric scooters "under 2 lakh", "under 1.5 lakh" and even "under 1 lakh" or "under 50,000". We checked every electric scooter sold through an official Nepal distributor and found none under Rs 1.5 lakh. Scooters advertised at those prices are not sold through the official distributors we track, so they are not in our catalogue. This guide covers the cheapest models you can buy from an official dealer, with their warranty and service backing. We have not ridden these scooters, so there are no riding impressions.

NIU's FX Wind page also shows Rs 2,35,000, the same as the FX Citi, although it lists a much stronger 5.6 kW motor and 80 km/h top speed; confirm that price with the dealer.
All ranges are the brands' own claims. Few name a standard test; Segway is unusually clear that its 105 km was measured at a steady 25 km/h with a 75 kg rider, which is gentler than real traffic. Expect less in hills, cold weather and with a pillion.
What you get for the money
Yadea E8s Pro (Rs 1,99,000 offer). The cheapest on the list and, on paper, well equipped: a 3,000 W motor, a 60 km/h top speed, a claimed 150 km range, discs at both ends and a 32 L boot. Yadea describes the battery as a 72 V, 38 Ah graphene pack rated for 800 cycles, but does not state its kWh. The catch is the price: Rs 1,99,000 is an offer, and the regular price on the same page is Rs 2,30,000.
Yadea GS70 and Owin (Rs 2,35,000 each). Both use a 72 V, 30 Ah LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery, a 1.5 kW motor (2.8 kW peak), a 55 km/h top speed and 105 km claimed range, and both list cruise control. The GS70 states its battery as 2.16 kWh, has discs front and rear and a 20 L boot; the Owin has a removable battery, rated for 1,200 cycles, and a rear drum.
NIU FX Citi (Rs 2,35,000). 2.4 kW peak motor, 55 km/h and the shortest claimed range here at 80 km, with discs at both ends. NIU lists a weight of 127 kg.
Keren Stardust (Rs 2,39,000). A low-speed scooter with a 45 km/h top speed and 100 km claimed range on a 48 V, 30 Ah battery, with hydraulic discs and cruise control.
Keren Blaze Lite (Rs 2,43,000). The quickest-charging of the group at a stated 3.5 hours to 80%, with a 3 kW motor, "60+ km/h" and 105 km claimed range. Evoque lists traction control, reverse mode and slope hold.
NIU Gova G3 (Rs 2,59,900). The fastest on paper at 65 km/h, with a 90 km claimed range and a light 99 kg kerb weight.
Warranty: read this before you buy
Warranty on the battery matters more than almost anything else on a cheap e-scooter, because the battery is the most expensive part to replace.
| Scooter | Battery warranty | Motor / vehicle warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Yadea GS70 | 3 years / 50,000 km | motor 2 years / 20,000 km |
| Yadea Owin | 3 years / 50,000 km | motor 2 years / 20,000 km |
| Yadea E8s Pro | 2 years / 20,000 km | motor 2 years / 20,000 km |
| NIU FX Citi | not published | 2 years on motor |
| Keren Stardust, Blaze Lite | not published | not published |
| NIU Gova G3 | not published | not published |

Running cost: under Rs 0.25 per km
Using the Nepal Electricity Authority's home tariff of Rs 11.55 per kWh, here is our own arithmetic for a full charge and the cost per km at the claimed range. Where a brand gives only volts and amp-hours, we estimated kWh as volts × amp-hours ÷ 1,000 (a nominal figure). Charger losses add a little.
| Scooter | Battery (kWh) | Full charge | Cost per km |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yadea E8s Pro | about 2.74 (72 V × 38 Ah, our estimate) | about Rs 32 | about Rs 0.21 |
| Yadea GS70 | 2.16 (stated) | about Rs 25 | about Rs 0.24 |
| Yadea Owin | about 2.16 (72 V × 30 Ah, our estimate) | about Rs 25 | about Rs 0.24 |
| Keren Stardust | about 1.44 (48 V × 30 Ah, our estimate) | about Rs 17 | about Rs 0.17 |
| NIU FX Citi | about 2.59 (72 V × 36 Ah, our estimate) | about Rs 30 | about Rs 0.37 |
At 1,000 km a month, that is roughly Rs 170 to Rs 370 of electricity. A petrol scooter with a claimed 50 km/l would use about Rs 4,000 of petrol at Rs 200 a litre for the same distance; see our best mileage scooters guide for the petrol figures.
EMI example
Nepal Rastra Bank lets banks lend up to 60% of a private vehicle's price, electric or petrol. As an example only, at Nepal Bank's 5-year fixed EV loan rate of 7.9% (October 2026; your bank's rate for two-wheelers may differ):
| Yadea E8s Pro (Rs 1,99,000) | Yadea GS70 (Rs 2,35,000) | |
|---|---|---|
| Down payment (40%) | Rs 79,600 | Rs 94,000 |
| Loan (60%) | Rs 1,19,400 | Rs 1,41,000 |
| EMI over 3 years | about Rs 3,736 | about Rs 4,412 |
| EMI over 5 years | about Rs 2,415 | about Rs 2,852 |

A small step up: Rs 2.7 to 2.9 lakh
If your budget can stretch a little, the next group adds bigger brand networks or more range: the Keren Blaze Pro (Rs 2,80,000, 85+ km/h, 150 km claimed), the TVS Orbiter (Rs 2,81,900, 3.1 kWh, 158 km claimed) and the Bajaj Chetak C2501 (indicative Rs 2,81,900, not shown on the official site; 2.5 kWh, 113 km IDC). Our best electric scooters in Nepal round-up covers these and the Ather and TVS iQube models, and the best electric scooters under Rs 3 lakh list ranks them from live data.
