Who it suits: Riders who want a 400 cc roadster mainly for city and highway use, with a seat height that suits more riders than the Scramblers.
If you want the 398.15 cc Triumph engine in its most road-focused form, the Speed 400 is the model to look at. Power and torque are the same as the Scramblers, a stated 29.4 kW and 37.5 Nm with six gears, but the bike is lighter at a claimed 170 kg wet and sits lower with an 800 mm seat.
It runs 17-inch wheels at both ends with 110/80 and 150/70 radial tyres. The 43 mm upside-down big-piston forks offer 140 mm of travel, and the gas monoshock with an external reservoir offers 130 mm with preload adjustment. The front brake is a 300 mm disc with a four-piston radial caliper, the rear a 230 mm disc, and ABS is fitted to both. Fuel consumption is quoted at 3.5 L/100 km on an EU test, or about 28.6 km/l claimed, from a 13-litre tank.
The indicative ex-showroom price is Rs 7,19,900 (official site, October 2026), for the default colour, with four two-tone schemes listed. That puts it Rs 58,000 below the Scrambler 400 X and Rs 70,000 above the smaller Speed T4. The Nepal page does not give ground clearance, so if you ride on broken roads often, check it in person.
Indicative only. Banks add service charges and may price your loan differently.
