Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xpulse 450, the biggest Xpulse so far, at EICMA in Milan on 3 November 2026. It has a 421cc liquid-cooled, four-valve engine making 34.3 kW (about 46.6 PS), a 21-inch front wheel, fully adjustable KYB suspension, cruise control and a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Hero says it comes straight from its Dakar Rally programme. There is no India price yet, and CG Motors has not announced it for Nepal. Our rough Nepal estimate is below.

What has Hero revealed?

Hero calls the Xpulse 450 "the biggest and the most capable Xpulse" and says it is a direct descendant of the bike its Hero MotoSports team races in the Dakar Rally. It sits above the Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 210, which are on sale in Nepal today. The headline facts from Hero's EICMA page:

  • Engine: a new 421cc liquid-cooled single with four valves and twin overhead cams, making 34.3 kW (about 46.6 PS). Business Today reports this at 9,100 rpm, with 38 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed with an assist and slipper clutch, which makes the clutch lighter and stops the rear wheel hopping on hard downshifts.
  • Suspension: a KYB 43 mm upside-down fork with 225 mm of travel and 22-step compression and rebound adjustment, and a rear shock with 215 mm of travel, 22-step rebound and 10-step preload adjustment on a forged aluminium linkage.
  • Wheels: a 21-inch front (90/90-21) and 17-inch rear (140/80-17), the classic off-road size, on spoked wheels.
  • Electronics: four ride modes (Rain, Road, Trail and Off Road) that change the throttle response, traction control and ABS, plus cruise control that you can override with the throttle and that switches off when you use the clutch or brakes.
  • Screen: a 7-inch touchscreen TFT with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which Hero says is a first in its segment, plus Bluetooth for calls, messages and music.
  • Charging: a USB-C port and a 12V socket.
  • Size: 848 mm seat height and 230 mm ground clearance.

Hero has not published the kerb weight, fuel tank size, brakes, colours, price or launch date yet.

How it fits in the Xpulse family

Table comparing Hero Xpulse 200 4V, Xpulse 210 and Xpulse 450 engine, power, gears and Nepal price

The 450 has almost twice the power of the Xpulse 210 sold in Nepal today.

The Xpulse 210 already gave Nepali riders a liquid-cooled engine and a 6-speed gearbox for Rs 6.15 lakh. The 450 is a different class of bike: about 1.9 times the power of the 210 (34.3 kW against 18.1 kW), fully adjustable suspension, a large touchscreen, cruise control and ride modes. It will cost a lot more too, and it competes with bikes that sell for Rs 10–11 lakh in Nepal.

These are the two adventure bikes around 400–450cc already on sale in Nepal. Figures are from each maker's published specifications in our catalogue:

What the numbers mean for Nepal riders:

  • The most power of the three, though only slightly ahead of the KTM. Torque is close on all three, so in real riding the difference will come down to weight and gearing, which Hero has not published yet.
  • A tall seat: at 848 mm the seat is 23 mm higher than the Himalayan 450's and KTM's. Shorter riders should sit on one before booking.
  • Built for rough roads: a 21-inch front wheel, 225 mm of front travel and 230 mm of ground clearance suit Nepal's broken roads, river crossings and trails like Mustang and Manang.
  • More touring comfort: cruise control and a big CarPlay/Android Auto screen with navigation are useful on long highway days.

What could it cost in Nepal?

Hero has not announced a price in India or Nepal, and CG Motors has not listed the Xpulse 450. So nobody can give a real Nepal price today. What we can do is show how Hero's current adventure bike is priced here, so you can work it out the day the India price is announced.

The Xpulse 210 rule of thumb. Hero's India website lists the Xpulse 210 at ₹1,68,245 to ₹1,77,463 ex-showroom in Delhi. In Nepal it costs Rs 6,14,900 (Hero Nepal). That is about 3.5 to 3.65 Nepali rupees for every Indian rupee.

If the India ex-showroom price were… Nepal price at the Xpulse 210's ratio (about ×3.6)
INR 2,50,000 about Rs 9.0 lakh
INR 3,00,000 about Rs 10.8 lakh
INR 3,50,000 about Rs 12.6 lakh

These India prices are examples to show the arithmetic, not reported prices. Our own rough guess is around Rs 10–12 lakh in Nepal, which would put it right against the Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure. Treat it as an estimate only:

  • The ratio comes from a 210cc bike. Nepal sets some vehicle taxes by engine size (our vehicle tax guide shows the yearly road tax bands), so a 421cc bike may cost more relative to India.
  • The final price also depends on the variant and equipment Hero brings to Nepal.

Questions and answers

Has the Hero Xpulse 450 launched?

Hero MotoCorp unveiled it on 3 November 2026 at EICMA in Milan and published its main specifications on its website. There is no India price or launch date yet, and it is not on sale in Nepal.

What engine does the Xpulse 450 have?

A 421cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with four valves and twin overhead cams, making 34.3 kW (about 46.6 PS). Business Today reports 38 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

Why is it called the Xpulse 450 if the engine is 421cc?

Hero has not explained the name. The engine is 421cc on Hero's own specification page.

What is the Xpulse 450 price in Nepal?

There is no official Nepal or India price yet. Our rough estimate is around Rs 10–12 lakh, based on the Xpulse 210 costing about 3.5 to 3.65 times its India price in Nepal. The real price may be higher because some Nepal taxes depend on engine size.

When will the Xpulse 450 launch in Nepal?

Hero's Nepal distributor, CG Motors, has not announced a date.

What features does the Xpulse 450 have?

Four ride modes (Rain, Road, Trail, Off Road), traction control and ABS settings linked to the ride modes, cruise control, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a USB-C port, a 12V socket and fully adjustable KYB suspension.

Xpulse 450 or Himalayan 450: which suits Nepal better?

On paper the Xpulse 450 has more power (34.3 kW against 29.4 kW), adjustable suspension, cruise control and a bigger screen, and both have a 21-inch front wheel and 230 mm ground clearance. The Himalayan 450 has a lower seat (825 mm against 848 mm), slightly more torque and is on sale in Nepal now from Rs 10.13 lakh. Hero has not published the Xpulse 450's weight yet.
