Two clear differences on paper: the Ntorq has 12-inch wheels front and rear, while both Dios have a 10-inch rear wheel; and the Dios are 12–15 kg lighter. The Dio 125 also has the most ground clearance here, 171 mm. The RTFI page lists 180 mm for that version, more than the other Ntorq pages.
Check the brake. The Ntorq Disc FI page lists a 220 mm front disc but also mentions a 130 mm drum front-brake version, and the RTFI page does the same, so look at the unit you are buying. TVS's SBT is its synchronised braking system. No scooter here publishes ABS.
Features: what you get
Honda Dio 110: LED headlamp and position lamp, an "intelligent" meter showing real-time mileage, average mileage and distance to empty, an external fuel lid (no need to lift the seat to refuel), silent start, and a side-stand engine cut-off listed as optional.
Honda Dio 125: LED split position lamp and headlamp, smart digital meter with the same mileage and range readouts, an idling stop system, side-stand cut-off, external fuel lid, 18-litre under-seat storage, and a 3-step adjustable rear shock. The DLX adds a smart key (Honda's H-Smart).
TVS Ntorq 125 Disc FI: a Bluetooth-connected digital console that TVS says has 60 features, with call, SMS and navigation alerts, plus an LED headlamp and daytime running lights.
TVS Ntorq 125 XP: more power (10.2 PS), Street and Race riding modes, voice assist, a wider rear tyre, and TVS's claimed 0–60 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
What we like
- Dio 110: the lowest price here, Rs 2,69,900, and the lightest at 103 kg
- Dio 125: 18 L storage, idling stop and the most ground clearance (171 mm)
- Ntorq 125: more power, Bluetooth console, 12-inch wheels both ends
What could be better
- Dio 110: drum brakes front and rear on both versions
- Dio: 10-inch rear wheel, and no Bluetooth listed
- Ntorq 125: heaviest here at 116–118 kg; storage capacity not published
Mileage
Neither Honda Nepal nor TVS Nepal publishes a fuel-economy figure for these scooters. Honda says only that fuel injection and idling stop save fuel on the Dio 125. Figures quoted elsewhere online do not come from the distributors, so we do not repeat them.
The Dio's meter shows real-time and average mileage, so you can measure your own. To turn that into money: fuel cost per km = Rs 200 (Nepal Oil Corporation petrol price, October 2026) ÷ your km per litre. If you are open to electric, compare running costs in our petrol vs electric two-wheeler guide.
EMI example
Lenders regulated by Nepal Rastra Bank can finance at most 60% of a vehicle's price. Neither Honda nor TVS publishes a scooter loan rate on these pages, so as an example only we use 8.99% over 36 months, the two-wheeler rate Bajaj's finance partner announced in July 2026 (The Himalayan Times):
| Dio 110 STD | Ntorq 125 Disc FI | Dio 125 STD | Ntorq 125 XP | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Rs 2,69,900 | Rs 2,93,900 | Rs 3,14,900 | Rs 3,34,900 |
| Down payment (40%) | Rs 1,07,960 | Rs 1,17,560 | Rs 1,25,960 | Rs 1,33,960 |
| Loan (60%) | Rs 1,61,940 | Rs 1,76,340 | Rs 1,88,940 | Rs 2,00,940 |
| EMI, 36 months | about Rs 5,150 | about Rs 5,610 | about Rs 6,010 | about Rs 6,390 |
Ask the showroom's finance partner for its real rate and fees, and try your own numbers in the EMI calculator. Our bike and scooter loan guide covers the paperwork.
